A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1795, with slightly swamped octagonal 9 3/4in. browned barrel, the top-flat signed 'CLARKE - DUBLIN', small blade fore-sight, slightly curved borderline engraved bevel-edged lock with stepped tail, rainproof pan with roller spring, walnut full-stock (cracked through and expertly repaired below lock), smooth bag-shaped grip with tailed iron butt-cap, yellow metal oval escutcheon to wrist, engraved trigger-guard bow and probably associated wood ramrod
